There will be limited availability for half-day workshops on Sunday Aug 26th – the day preceding the main meeting. Submissions for these workshops should include an overview/synopsis as well as a description of the material to be covered and the presenters, not to exceed 1000 words in total.
Programmatic review will be performed and accepted workshop proposals will be notified by the end of February 2018.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Individual abstracts may be submitted for oral/poster presentation. These abstracts should consist of original work relating to the field of biomagnetism – theory, hardware, software or applications. Abstracts should consist of text only with a 500-word maximum. Preferred organization is in the form: Background / Methods / Results / Discussion.
Several awards are available for the Biomag2018 including the Young Investigator Awards, Student Travel Awards and Emerging Nations Travel Awards. See the Awards tab for eligibility. If you would like your abstract to be considered for one of these awards and you meet eligibility requirements, please select the “Award Submission” category (under the heading Topic). The awards committee may verify eligibility by contacting you or your institution. If you do not wish to be considered for an award, or you do not meet award eligibility criteria, please select the “General Submission” option.
All abstracts will undergo rigorous peer review. A limited number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. A larger number will be selected for electronic poster presentation. Decisions will be announced towards the end of February.
CALL FOR PANELS
Panel symposia may also be proposed. These are typically thematically-bundled assemblies of 4-6 presentations, with 90-120 minutes of allocated time. Panels should be proposed by a panel organizer and a single submission should contain a panel synopsis, including list of speakers, as well as a brief summary of each speakers’ presentation. The entire submission should not exceed 1000 words.
Panel symposia submissions will be peer reviewed as well as undergoing programmatic consideration. A limited number of panel slots will be available. Decisions will be announced towards the end of February.
Please note: if a panel symposium submission is not accepted, the component speaker talks are NOT automatically considered as abstract submissions. Individual investigators are encouraged to submit separate abstracts for oral/poster consideration.
